Bean - John Calvin Holloway, 72, retired Tom Bean farmer, died at 8:55
a.m. Monday in a Sherman hospital after a long illness. He had
farmed in the Tom Bean area most of his life. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at noon Monday at Barrett Funeral Home, Sherman. Burial will be in Holloway Cemetery. Mr. Holloway, who retired in 1949, was born in the Luella community, February 25, 1882, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Holloway. On October 27, 1907 he married Miss Martha Ireland in Howe. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Floyd Low of Van Alstyne; Miss Loel Pruitt of Dallas; and Mrs. Robert Lamb of Harrison, Michigan; 3 sons, J.B. Holloway of Sherman; Bennie Holloway of Enid, Oklahoma; and John Paul Holloway of Irving; 2 sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Fergeson of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Oscar Corbin of Claude; 2 brothers, Jesse Holloway of Van Alstyne and Benton Holloway of Sherman.
