CHILD DIES OF INFANTILE PARALYSIS
Sherman, Aug. 1 - Miss Thelma Harrell, 13-year-old daughter of Mrs. Rouelle Harrell, 1002 North Hurt street, died at the home Monday morning at 4:05 o'clock from a few days illness of infantile paralysis.
Besides her mother, she is survived by 2 sisters, Misses Dorris Harrell and Charlie Mae Harrell, and her grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hollingsworth and Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Harrell, of this city.
Her younger sister, Dorris, is reported to be in a serious condition at the home with the same illness.

Rouelle Harrell, 104, of San Angelo died Friday, January 1,1999 at Rio Concho Manor.  Graveside services were held Friday, January 8 in Holloway Cemetery near Sherman with Tracy Fleet officiating.  Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home.
Rouelle Harrell was born August 21, 1894 in Grayson County, daughter of John Wylie Hollingsworth and Florence Scott Hollingsworth,  She was reared in Sherman, attending the Sherman public schools with post graduate work at Austin College and University of Iowa.  She taught in the public schools of Sherman until her retirement after 30 years of teaching 1st and 2nd grades.  She then became a chaperoned for Hockaday school in Dallas for 2 years.  She then became a director for the Cauthon Hall, Austin College in Sherman for 2 years.  She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, life member of PTA, and University Women and Johnson Street Church of Christ.
She married Charles Clarence Harrell December 18, 1912; he preceded her in death July 18, 1921.  She was blessed with 3 daughters, Thelma, who died in the poliomyelitis epidemic; Doris Harrell; and Mrs. Bennett Joiner of San Angelo.  
Survivors include her daughters, Doris Catherine Harrell, Charlie Marie Joiner and her husband,, Dr. Bennett A. Joiner of San Angelo; grandchildren, Dr. Bennett Joiner, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Austin, Texas; Ann Evans and husband, Mike, of Houston; Dr. Steve Joiner and wife, Margaret Ann, of Cupertino, California; and Carol Doggett and husband, Scott, of Dallas.  Also great-grandchildren, Sara Rouelle and Thomas Joiner of Austin; Julie and Michelle Evans of Houston; Steven, Michael and David Joiner of California; and Turner Doggett of Dallas.  She had a long productive life, many friends and much loving guidance to her family; an excellent memory that could tell us more than we could remember of our children and grandchildren.
