16 July 1944 - 25 December 2013  The Herald Democrat December 29, 2013 Bonham - Homer Lee Fairchild, 69, of Bonham, passed away at Texoma Medical Center December 25, 2013. Homer was born on July 16, 1944 to Homer Lawrence and Nettie O. Staton Fairchild in Bonham. He was married to Lora Fay Whitley on May 3, 1997 in Ector. He was a painter, played music and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church at Bells. He is survived by his wife of the home, Fay; children, Sherry Williams, Bonham; Stacy Backus, Bonham; David Fairchild, Albany, Texas; Shane Stevens and Rachel, Dodd City; Shannon Stevens, Bonham; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Hindsley and Perry, Bonham; a host of friends and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, John Wayne Fairchild, Willie Large, Howard Large and sister, Ruth. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 28 at Hebron Baptist Church, Bells. Family visitation was held from 6 - 7 p.m. Friday, December 27 at American Funeral Service, Denison, Texas Officiating at the service was Brother Houston Garner and Brother E.J. Thompson. Pallbearers were Jeff McGeehee, Frank Waymire, Shane Stevens, Shannon Stevens, Phil Ferguson, Billy Keyes and Robert Stead. Interment was in Hebron Cemetery, Bells. Arrangements are under the direction of American Funeral Service, Denison, Texas.
