Denison, Texas - Grady Cobble, 94, of Denison passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center.  Grady had suffered a stroke a week before his passing.  He was born July 29, 1918 in the Anthony Community in Fannin County, the son of Tom and Madge Hughes Cobble.  He married Clara Christine Huber on October 12, 1945 in Denison, Texas.
Grady was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Denison and retired from the Denison Fire Department after 35 years of service.  He was a Master Mason and had served in the US Army during World War II serving in the Italian and African campaigns as a medic from 1941 - 1945.
He is survived by his son, Grady Cobble, Jr. and his wife Jill of Denison; brother Larry Cobble of Lawton, OK; sisters Martha Mitchusson and Betty Morrow both of Bells; grandchildren, Karla Schliep and her husband Jon of Kennewick, WA, Mickey Cobble and wife Lisa of Denison and Lorie Philpott and husband Ted of Lawton, OK; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Hebron Cemetery north of Bells.  Chaplain Alan Mattingly will officiate.  Arrangement is under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral Home of Bells/Savoy, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
