Weldon Melvagene Meek 16 October 1925 - 25 November 1989 Glynn Dolores Meek 21 July 1929 - 21 November 2015 Dolores was born in Sweetwater, Texas on July 21, 1929 to the late Glynn and Marie Dunn. Dolores received her salvation and was baptized in 1950. She passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 in the care of Mullican Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Home Hospice at the age of 86, surrounded by family. Dolores' childhood, along with her sister Billie Ann, was blessed in the care of her paternal grandparents, Bill and Nettie Dunn, as a result of her parents death in 1932. Family night visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mullican-Little Funeral Home, located in Bells, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24 at Hebron Baptist Church under the direction of Bill Stone. Interment follows at Hebron Cemetery immediately after the funeral services. Pallbearers are Phil Ferguson, Matt Ferguson, Justin Ferguson, Don Anderson, Boyd Garner, and Charlie Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons. Dolores maintained devotion in her church holding many positions during her lifetime. She served as a teachers aid in Savoy, following her retirement from TMC in 1996. In earlier years, she worked at several local newspapers keeping her in touch with family, friends, and many acquaintances. She delighted in watching her children's families grow and celebrated their accomplishments. Dolores was married to Weldon Meek in September 15, 1945. Weldon preceded her in death on November 25, 1989. She later married Leeman Sweet in 1992 and he preceded her in death in 1997. Her sister Billie Landrum also preceded her in death. Dolores Meek-Sweet is survived by sons, Dennis Meek and wife Jean, Michael Meek and wife Carol, Stephen Meek and wife Mandy; daughters, Melva Langford and husband Harold, Maudianne Ramsey and husband Michael; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by cousins, Donna Jean Stephenson, John Wayne Ramsey, and Billy Glynn Ramsey and wife Ilaine. Two granddaughters preceded her in death, Kristy Langford and Brenda Summers. Surviving lifelong friends are Bobbie French and Mary Bell Hopper. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dolores' name to Hebron Cemetery.
