  Anita Carolyn Green 22 Feb 1960 - 9 Feb 2010 "A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss, Ah yes these things I too will miss be not burdened with the times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow."  The Herald Democrat February 11, 2010 SHERMAN - Anita Carolyn Hawthorne passed away Feb. 9, 2010 at her residence in Sherman, surrounded by her loving family. Anita was born Feb. 22, 1960 in Bonham, the daughter of Howard Green and Margarette Kennedy Green. She married Larry Hawthorne Dec. 5, 2009 in Savoy. Funeral services for Anita will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hebron Baptist Church, north of Bells, with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Rev. Houston Garner of the church will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral Home of Bells/Savoy. She attended Sherman schools and worked as a seamstress and a nurses' aide. Ania is survived by her husband Larry of Sherman; mother and father Margarette and Ed Thomas of Savoy; sons, Shane Owen and wife Andrea of Wylie, Jarrod Parham and wife Lindsay of Sherman, Brent Thompson of Glenwood Springs, Colo. and Patrick Hawthorne of Howe; daughters Reanna Fortin of Rockport, Danielle Milam and husband Rusty of Bertram, and Brittany Thompson of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; brothers Bruce Green and wife Bonnie of Palestine, Ronald Green and wife Linda of Sherman, Stephen Green and wife Glenda of Sherman; sisters Cindy Roder and husband Brian of Savoy, and Annette Dunkle of Savoy, grandchildren Thorn Owen, Lily Grace Parham, Dakota Fortin, Jaiden Milam, and Kane Milam. Anita was preceded in death by her father Howard Green; sister Kimberly Green; grandparents Jack and Ruth Green and T.O. and Lela Kennedy. Pallbearers will be Silvesta Hamilton, Corey Roder, Christopher Roder, Stephen Green, Jr., Eric Dunkle, and Jeremy Dunkle. The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Friday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
