Hanna 12 July 1917 - 3 November 2013 US Navy WWII Allene Vergie Hanna, 94, of Bells, Texas, passed away January 24, 2018. She was born November 20, 1923 in Grayson County to Daniel Clinton Freeman and Birdie Emmaline Jones Freeman. She was an avid gardener and had a large garden with a wide variety of vegetables. Allene loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 6 sets of five generations of great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Bells and known for her kindness and willingness to help people. Allene is survived by her daughter, Delores A. Stanley of Bells; grandsons, Troy Stanley and wife, Merica, of Pottsboro; and Eddie Stanley of Sherman; granddaughters, Carla Trail and husband, David, of Durant, Oklahoma; and Kristy Glidewell and husband, Garth, of Bells; 17 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 75 years; granddaughter, Sherry Morton; grandson, Rickey Trail; sisters, Thelma Ellison, Billie Gordon, and Irene McGehee; and brother, Eugene Freeman. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Hebron Baptist Church in Bells, Texas, with Russell Clemons and John Arnold officiating. Pallbearers were Matt Trail, Dylan Trail, David Perry, Eddie Stanley, Cody Adair and Clay Atchley.
