  Wanda L. Fitch 22 April 1937 - Richard L. Fitch 14 November 1934 - 15 October 2009 wed 3 April 1953 Herald Democrat October 18, 2009 DENISON - Richard Laverne Fitch, 74, went to his heavenly home Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center. Mr. Fitch was born Nov. 14, 1934 in Denison, the son of Homer and Eva Edna (Hanna) Fitch. Richard started work at an early age at Dalton Garage, later known as Burris Garage. Then he owned and operated Richard's salvage for three years. He later worked and retired from Kawneer. Richard loved race cars and camping. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Fitch is survived by his loving family, wife, Wanda Fitch of Denison; son, David Fitch and wife, Cathie of Denison; daughters, Kathryn Mercer and husband, Joe of Kemp, Okla., Eva Auldridge of Denison, and Terry Fitch of Denison; grandchildren, Terry Ray Fitch and wife, Kristine of Denison, Judy Mercer of Lewisville, Amy Mercer of Carrolton, Jeremy Auldridge of Bells, Sherry Beshirs and husband, Joel of Platter, Okla., and Jason Fitch and wife, Sara of Denison; great-grandchildren, Courtney Fitch, Kaley Fitch, Samantha Fitch, Zayden Fitch and Jacob Beshirs; sister, Pauline Scherr and husband, Ralph of North Dakota; stepsister, Frances Hornburger of Denison; sister-in-law, Dolly Fitch; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Juanita Bass and husband Jack; brother, Kenneth Fitch. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Houston Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 2 -4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 at Fisher Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main, Denison.
