  Lou Avis Brooks 26 November 1919 - 6 December 2004 Bells,
Texas - Graveside services for Lou Avis "Ninny" Brooks, age 85 will be
held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hebron Cemetery
with Rev. Houston Garner of Hebron Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Brooks passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 at her residence in Bells, Texas. She born on November 26, 1919 in Dugan Chapel Community the daughter of Daniel Goodson and Dollie Davlin Shelley. Avis was a homemaker and a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Shelley, J.P. "Mutt" Shelley and Harvey Shelley, sisters, Fruie Clayton and Mildren Neagle. Avis is survived by her sons, Dean Brooks of Bells, Texas; Roger Brooks of El Reno, Oklahoma; Douglas Brooks and wife, Brenda Brooks of Savoy, Texas; daughters, Dorothy Moore and husband, Charlie Moore of Bells, Texas; Donna Connelly and husband, Donna Connelly of Bells, Texas; brothers, Neal Shelley of Dallas, Texas; Eual Shelley of Sherman, Texas; sisters, Ruth Walters of Denison, Texas; Carlie Bateman of Sherman, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Savoy, Texas.
