Johnnie Lynn Jones 15 October 1958 - 14 May 2012 Howe - A celebration of life for Johnnie Lynn Jones will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday May 17 at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Fletcher of the Elmont Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Hall Cemetery with Randy Luster, Chris Luster, Christopher Bailey, Ryan Grounds, Zack Gillard, and Calob Gann serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all Tyson Maintenance Crew members. Johnnie, 53, lost his 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday May 14, 2012 at his home in Howe. Johnnie was born October 15, 1958 in McKinney, Texas to J.W and Lena (Gillard) Jones. He graduated from Howe schools in 1977 and earned an associate's degree from Grayson County College in Manufacturing Technology. On November 2, 1979 Johnnie married Carolyn Winn in Howe, Texas. He was currently employed by Tyson Foods Inc in Sherman. Johnnie was an avid outdoors man, a life member of the NRA, and a member of the Team R&R Fishing Club. Johnnie will be remembered by his family as an amazing father and husband. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Winn Jones of Howe; three daughters, Katrina Jones and her children, Emmaleigh, Konnor, and Gage, all of Howe, Danielle Hurst and husband Blake and their son Tripp, all of Howe, and Heather Gibson of Sherman; father, J.W. Jones of Howe; sister, Patty Wiggins and her husband Calvin, and their children, Marcy Wiggins and her daughter, Tori, and Leslie Wiggins and her boyfriend Bruce Blevins, all of Howe; sister, Deborha Womack and her children, Kelly Gann and wife Carie and their children, Kallie, Calob, and Charity, all of Howe, Lacey Sartor and her children, Ethan, Montana, and Landon of Sherman, and Dustin Womack and his daughters, Alexia and Katie Lynn; brother, James Jones of Howe; his best friend, Curtis Luster and wife Pam of Whitewright; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Jones, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Glendale, Arizona - A memorial celebration for Carolyn Jean (Winn) Jones was held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Waldo Funeral Home Family Center in Sherman, Texas. Carolyn, 60, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Wayne Bailey, John Slawson, Chris Luster, Randy Luster, Rick Perkins and RonDale Freeman. Carolyn was born September 26, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter of David and Sue Walker Winn. She graduated from Lewisville High School in 1979. On November 2, 1979 Carolyn married Johnnie Jones in Howe, Texas. She attended Grayson County College where she earned two associate degrees and then went on to attend the University of North Texas where she earned a Bachelor's degree. Carolyn retired from College in January 2021 after 21 years of service. Carolyn worked in the office of the Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs for 28 plus years where she found her passion helping students find the financial means to needed to pursue their dreams of higher education. She was an active member of many Financial Aid organizations including NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) and TASFAA (Texas Association of Student Financian Aid Administrators) where she served on numerous committees and boards. She was TASFAA Association President from 2009-2010. The TASFAA board voted in early August to rename the TASFAA Teaching and Mentoring Award in honor of Carolyn. The first Carolyn J. Jones Teaching and Mentoring Award will be awarded at the fall conference this October. Carolyn will be remembered by her family as an amazing mother and Grammy. She is survived by 3 daughters, Katrina Skaggs of Glendale, Arizona; Danielle Hurst and husband, Blake, of Glendale, Arizona; and Heather Gibson Todd of Sherman, Texas. Grandchildren, Emmaleigh Skaggs of Howe, Texas; Konnor and Gage Skaggs of Glendale, Arizona; Trip Hurst of Glendale, Arizona; and Ivy Gibson and Andrew Todd of Sherman, Texas. Mother, Sue Loyd of Sanger, Texas. Sister, Cathy Winn of Sherman, Texas. Best friend, Pam Luster and husband, Curtis, of Whitewright, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; father; sister, Linda Winn Wallace; father and mother-in-law, J.W. and Lena Jones; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, Carolyn's family is asking that memorial gifts be made to the Carolyn J.
