(condensed version) Howe - William Claud McBroom, 58, died at his home here Tuesday morning. He was employed by Foxworth-Galbraight Lumber Co. Mr. Brown was a native of Texas and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Collogan of Woodland, California; Mrs. Billy Owens of McKinney, Texas; Mrs. Everett Suter of Sherman, Texas; four sons, William C. Jr. of Sacramento, California; Jackie of Howe, Texas; Roy Frank and Floyd Wayne of McKinney; 27 grandchildren; step-mother Mrs. Edna Lay of Van Alstyne; brothers, Elmo of Phoenix and Hollis of Evandale, Arizona; four sisters, Mrs. Juanita Dice of Ajo, California; Mrs. Margaret Wells of Pottsboro; Mrs. Nita Bell of Denton; and Mrs. Inez Hix of Los Angeles, California. McBROOM Mrs. Claude McBroom, 58, died in a Sherman hospital Thursday after a long illness, only nine days after her husband was stricken with a fatal heart attack. He was a lumberman. Services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Johnson, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Rev. Bill Hindman, pastor of First Baptist Church, assisted. Burial was in Hall Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Mrs. McBroom, a housewife. was a member of Elmont Baptist Church. She was married to Mr. McBroom August 30, 1930 in Savoy. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Donald Collogan of Woodland, California; Mrs. Billy Owens of McKinney; and Mrs. Everett Sutter of Sherman; four sons, William C. McBroom of Sacramento, California; Jackie McBroom of Howe; and Roy and Floyd McBroom, both of McKinney; three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Ely of Ector; Mrs. Ruby Deets of Bonham; and Mrs. Rosie Donohoo of Fulson, California; two half-sisters, Mrs. Gladys Killion and Mrs. Beatrice Ingram of Corona, New Mexico; and 27 grandchildren.
