  Betty Sue Gray 1943 - 2017  Howe, Texas - Betty Sue Gray of Howe, Texas passed away August 22 after a battle with cancer. Betty was born November 23, 1943 in Whitewright, Texas, daughter of Malcolm Patterson "Punk" Moss and Florence May Reeves Moss. She graduated from Tom Bean High School in 1963. In 1965 she married Larry Michael Gray. For 17 years she was a devoted wife and homemaker before beginning a careen in 1984 at Hilltop Haven in Gunter, Texas as head cook. For 28 years she took pride in preparing meals for the residents before retiring in 2012. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Evan Brazeal; and granddaughter Abigail Brazeal; son Nathan Gray; stepson Nicholas Gray; and step-daughter Linda Gray; sister Martha Stephens; a niece, Jill Grisham; three nephews - Jason Stephens, Tim Moss, Mike Moss; and three great-nephews: Ryan Grisham, Pate Grisham, and Hunter Grisham. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons Christopher Gray and Anthony "Tony" Gray; and brother Jack Moss. Graveside serviceswere held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26 at HalL Cemetery with Roy Layman officiating at the service.
