January 20, 1936 Funeral services were held at the Talley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday for S.D. Moss, 75, who died at his residence, Sherman route 1, Monday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. C. Chumbley of Whitewright officiated. Burial followed at Hall Cemetery. The body remained at the funeral home until time for services. Mr. Moss had been a farmer in Grayson county for the last 40 years. He had been in declining health for six months and confined to his bed for eight days. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Moss; 2 sons, Earl and Lee Moss at the home; one sister Mrs. Mary A. Frazier of Holdenville, Okla.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Lillian Henley of Bells and Charles Roddy of Longview, and two great-grandchildren.
