Thursday, January 4, 1968 pg. 8 GRAVESIDE RITES HELD FOR NATIVE OF HOWE Graveside rites were held at Hall Cemetery here Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock for Dr. George T. McMahan, 66, who died Sunday at his home in Waco. Born in Howe, Dr. McMahan graduated from Van Alstyne High School and Austin College and earned his medical degree at Baylor University. Survivors include his wife; one daughter; his father, E. Frank McMahan of Van Alstyne; five sisters; two brothers; two grandchildren. The O.W. Callaways of Howe are cousins of Dr. McMahan.
