March 23, 2009 Services for Odis Hill, 77, of Sherman were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the Hall Cemetery in Howe, Texas. He passed away on March 20, 2009 in Sherman. Odis was born on July 17, 1931 in Buffalo Gap, the son of Robert and Minnie Sue Denton Hill. He married Geraldine 'Judy' Rand on July 1, 1954 in Dublin, and they were married for 54 years. Odis worked for Southwest Auction Company from 1975 - 2002. He loved tractors, farming, fishing and bird hunting. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hill of Sherman; daughter, Sharon Bledsoe of Howe; granddaughter, Michaela Bledsoe of Howe; and sister in law, Ruth Hill of Ashdown, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Hill Jr.; two brothers, R. W. and Henry Hill; two sisters, Irene Crow and Dean Hanson; and son-in-law, Mike Bledsoe. Sherman, Texas -- Geraldine Judy Hill, 79, of Sherman, Texas died of natural causes February 21, at her home. She was born in Yuma, Arizona on December 1, 1935 to Donia Mae and Karl Rand. She grew up in Dublin, Texas and graduated from Dublin High School. She married Odis Mark Hill July 1, 1954. She was a devoted homemaker and PTA mother. She took college courses and became a licensed realtor. Her family lived in Hico, Leveland, Herford, Howe and Sherman. She spent her life caring for her family and building a home. She served God and loved the truth and way of Jesus all the days of her life. She was an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed cooking, canning, playing the piano, but her greatest joy in this life was her grandchild Michaela. She took care of her when she was a baby, she was her first teacher and they enjoyed much time together as Michaela grew up. She is preceded in death by her mother Donia Mae, son Mark Hill, and husband Odis Hill. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Bledsoe and her granddaughter Michaela Bledsoe, nieces and nephews Doyle Hill, H.L. Hill, Carman Sansom, Lou Oliver, Melvin Hanson, Roy Glen Crow and Tony Crow. Funeral services were held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Hall Cemetery. Thank you to all who shared in Judy’s life and enjoyed fellowship with her. She would say how blessed she was to have known so many good people. She was the best mother and MiMi anyone could ask for. He favorite Bible verse was 1 Peter 5:7 ~ Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 W.
