Friday, February 24, 1905 THE NEWS FROM HOWE Howe, Tex., Feb. 22 - Death is abroad in our land and has claimed two of our most loves and respected citizens since last we wrote. . . . The other Rev. E.H. Messick, who was know throughout this county as a valiant servant of the Lord died yesterday and is to be buried at the Hall cemetery by his Masonic brethren. Bro. Messick was one of our best men and will be greatly missed.... Messrs. Jones and Pierce of Sherman and Rev. Bone of Prosper and many others from a distance are here today to attend the funeral of Rev. Messick.
