Thursday, January 16, 1975 pg. 2 Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Daniel Lee McIntire, 79, o f Howe, who died Monday morning in a Denison hospital. Mr. McIntire was a carpenter in the Howe area and had been a Mason for 58 years. Funeral was held at Flesher [sic] Funeral in Van Alstyne with Rev. Johnny Johnson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Howe, officiated. Mr. McIntire was born in Howe on January 11, 1896, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McIntire. He was married to Myrtle Taylor on June 8, 1918 in Sherman. She survives him. A son, Coleman McIntire of Lakeport, California and 3 grandchildren survive.
