SHERMAN - Homer L. Denman, 80, died Monday, April 25, 2011 in Tyler. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28 at Hagerman Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Homer was born in Rison, Arkansas, on July 15, 1930, to Frank and Rosie (Patterson) Denman. He was educated in the public schools. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He worked as a material handler and served as a union steward.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosemary, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by three sons, James Denman and wife Charlotte of Anna, David Denman and wife Susan of Canton, Bryan Denman and wife, Jo of Canton; a daughter, Theresa Lacey of Washington; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers,
John Denman and wife Wanda of Denison, Jessie Splann and wife, Joan of Sebring, Florida; as well s several nieces and nephews.

John Denman, 85, of Denison passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 6 -8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. January 25, 2013 with Dr. Roddy Arnold, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Colbert, Oklahoma officiating. Interment will follow at Hagerman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Denman, Myles Denman, Nicky Denman Sr., Nicky Denman Jr., Steven Denman and Benjamin Denman.
Mr. Denman was born in Coy, Arkansas on September 20, 1927 to Frank Denman and Rosie Patterson Denman. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Wanda McCabe October 16, 1954 in Yuma, Ariz., and they were married 58 years. As owner of Denman and Son the family provided Carpentry and Construction.
Mr. Denman was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Brett Denman; brothers, Roy Denman, Frank Denman and Homer Denman; sister, Dora Rawlins; and granddaughter, Jennifer Rosewell. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; three sons, Nicky Denman Sr. and wife Linda of Spokane, Wash., Danny Denman and wife Sandra of Choctaw, Okla., Myles Denman of Denison; two daughters, Bebe Denman and Lisa Denman of Denison; one brother, Jess Splawn of Sebring, Fla.; sister-in-law, Pauline Denman good friend for 69 years; 16 grandchildren; and many great- grandchildren.
The Denman family would like to give a special Thank You to The Home Hospice nurses and aides that cared for Mr. Denman and also, Cheryl Myers for her prayers and help through their sad times.
