  Calvin Pinion 1925 - 1991 Reba E. Pinion 1925 - 2010  Reba E. Pinion, 85, of Sherman, died peacefully with family by her side Monday, December 20, 2010 at Hilltop Haven Christian Care Center in Gunter, Texas. Reba was born in Celina, Texas to Tillman and Eva Roller Cupp. She graduated from Celina High School in 1943 and married Calvin Pinion Jr., the love of her life, on June 1, 1943, in Celina, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1991. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. Funeral services were held in Waldo Funeral Home's chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010. Reverend Keith Head, pastor of Grace United Methodist officiated. Burial followed at Gunter Cemetery in Gunter, Texas. Calvin served over twenty years in the US Air Force before retiring to Sherman, Texas in July 1969. They were both devoted members of Key Memorial United Methodist Church in Sherman. Reba was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by all who knew her. She lived a full and meaningful life until Parkinson's disease slowly took that life away from her. She resided at The Willows in Sherman, Texas for 6 years before moving to Hilltop Haven in Gunter, Texas in the spring of 2007. The family is grateful for the excellent care she has received from Hilltop Haven these last years of her life. Reba was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David H. Pinion, brothers; Johnney Dale Cupp and Wilbur Cupp both of Denison, Norvil Ray Cupp of San Antonio and sister, Gladys Cupp Miller of Mesquite. She is survived by son, Michiel C. Pinion and wife, Susan, of Sherman, daughter Beth Ann Weeks and husband, Steve, of Sherman, 5 grandchildren; Ashley and Andy Weeks of Sherman, Michiel S. Pinion and wife, Roniese, of Sherman, Daniel Lee Pinion and wife, Kristie, of Anna, Kerry Pinion Smith and husband, Tap, of Sadler and 9 great-grandchildren; Taylor Pinion, Chase M. Pinion, Chase W. Pinion, Matthew Pinion, Reese Lauren Pinion, Sean Pinion, Shelby Smith, Nikki Smith and Parker Smith, She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ellen Cupp of Denison and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to Hilltop Haven's staff for the loving care given to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother these last years of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Key Memorial UMC of Sherman, Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Gunter, TX, or your favorite charity.
