Thursday, February 19, 1976 pg. 2A Gunter - Funeral services for Arthur Carlton Bennett, Jr., 57, of Gunter were held at First Baptist Church, Gunter; Rev. John Bledsoe officiated with burial at Gunter Cemetery. Mr. Bennett died Wednesday at a Dallas hospital. He was born September 8, 1918 in Frisco. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Gunter. He was a truck driver and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include six daughters: Peggy Ann Bennett of Sumter, South Carolina; Mary Elna Bennett, Kimberly Bennett, Suzie Bennett, Melissa Bennett and Tera Bennett, all of Gulfport, Mississippi; two sons, Curtis Carlton Bennett of Gunter and Jackie Bennett of Gulfport, Mississippi; sister, Mrs. J.T. Penner of Denton; two brothers, Joe Bennett of Gunter and Ike Bennett of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
