  Jimmie Carroll McFarland Cox 12 March 1939 - 22 September 2008  GUNTER - Jimmie Carroll Cox, 69, of Gunter passed away on September 22, 2008 in Sherman. She was born on March 12, 1939 in Tyler to Carl A. and Jimmie Louise (Browning) McFarland. She graduated from Tyler High School and went on to attend Texas Woman's University in Denton. Jimmie worked as a clerk with the City of Sherman Police Department. She is survived by her children, Carla Monk and husband, Jackie of Carlton; Jim Cox Jr. and wife, Patty, of Gillette, Wyoming; Melissa Taylor and husband, Hal, of Palestine; ex-husband, James Cox, Sr. of Gillette, Wyoming; grandchildren, Justin Monk and wife, Monica; Jeremy Taylor and wife, Sarah; Garrett Monk, Morgan Taylor, Brittnie Taylor; great-grandsons, Kaleb Taylor and Cameron Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Reggie and Deloris McFarland of Alba. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Miller officiating. Interment followed at Gunter Cemetery in Gunter.
