  Betty J. Payne 6 July 1931 - 18 May 2011 Glenn J. Payne 5 December 1924 - 18 December 2012 wed 19 August 1950  The Herald Democrat May 22, 2011 SHERMAN - Betty Cummings Payne, 79, of Sherman passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Texoma Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Dannel Funeral Home with Bro. Gordon Winslow of Greater Life Church officiating, assisted by Bro. Houston Garner of Hebron Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Gunter Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Betty was born in Pilot Point, Texas on July 6, 1931, to Hoy and Vera (Weldon) Cummings. She attended Tioga schools. Betty married Glenn J. Payne on August 19, 1950, in Durant, Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse's aide at Wilson N. Jones and several nursing homes. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin and Joe Cummings. She is survived by her husband Glenn, three sons, Billy Payne and wife, Sharon, of Mount Holly, Nprth Carolina, Jimmy Payne of Sherman and Roger Dale Payne of Pekin, Illinois; a daughter, Donna Hyepock and husband, Dwayne, of Bells; five grandchildren, Eric Hyepock and wife Jessica, Chris Hyepock and wife Becky, Amanda Overton and husband Jeremy, Bradley Payne and Meagan Payne; four great-grandchildren, Haley Hyepock, Caelin Hyepock, Jonah Hyepock and Alizabeth Overton; a brother, Bobby Cummings and wife Patsy of Weatherford; two sisters, Oleta Billmeier of Pilot Point and Louise Frasca of Tampa, Florida. Pallbearers will be Eric Hyepock, Chris Hyepock, Bradley Payne, all grandsons; and Michael West.  Glenn J. Payne died at age 88. He married Betty Juanita Cummings on August 19, 1950, in Denton, Texas. Glenn and Betty celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August, 2010. Their children: Billy Payne. Jimmy Payne. Roger Dale Payne. Donna Payne Hyepock. 1930 United States Federal Census shows Glenn living with his parents in Justice Precinct 4, Grayson, Texas, age 5 years old. In 1935 Glenn was living in Grayson, Texas, age 10 years old. 1940 United States Federal Census shows Glenn living with his parents in Grayson, Texas, age15 years old.
