  William Henry Burden 30 June 1932 - 10 April 2001 Frances "Ann" Burden 6 June 1936 - 19 March 2013 wed 15 March 1952  The Herald Democrat March 21, 2013 GUNTER - Ann Burden, 76, of Gunter passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Meadowbrook Care Center of Van Alstyne. She was born to Charlie Thomas and Jessie Willis Thomas on June 6, 1936 in Prosper, Texas. She married William Burden on March 15,1952 in Trenton, Texas. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Burden and wife Pam of Celina: three daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Reed and husband Ralph of Gunter, Debbie Miller and husband Danny of Gunter, Jorene Bostick and husband Dennis of Gunter; brother, P.D. Thomas and wife Diane of Allen; sister, Elaine Hooper and husband Bob of Frisco; seven grandchildren, Lynn Reed and wife LeAnn of Gunter, Charlotte Amason and husband Tim of Gunter, Danny Joe Miller and wife Trube of Abilene, Randy Miller and wife Jacqueline of Brownwood, Roxie Gibbs and husband Andrew of Gunter, Jennifer Henshaw and husband Brent of Denison, Brent Burden and wife Amy of Van Alstyne; 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Gunter with Dennis Garner and Danny Miller officiating. Burial followed immediately at the Gunter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lynn Reed, Danny Joe Miller, Randy Miller, Brent Burden, Tim Amason, Brent Henshaw, Drew Gibbs, Dennis Bostick and T. J. Cross. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Ann's honor be made to the First Baptist Church of Gunter Youth Building Fund, 99 Gentle Creek, Gunter TX 75058. Funeral Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.
