  James L. Reed 22 April 1924 - 8 May 1983   James Lytle Reed, Jr. 1924 - 1983 S1 US Navy WWII   Gunter, Texas - Charlotte "Nellie" Reed passed away Friday, March 17 after a short illness at Homestead Rehab Center in Sherman, Texas. She was born in Carrollton, Mississippi, daughter of Tincey and Jesse Olivia Rich Hughey. She graduated from Shady Grove High School in Shady Grove Mississippi in 1949 and that same year married J.L. Reed. She moved to Texas in 1950, where she worked for Texas Instruments for 31 years. Nellie is survived by sons, Ralph and wife, Becky, Ray and wife, Joyce and Tommy; daughter Pat and husband, Bob Piaschyk; seven grandchildren six great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren; aunts, Gladys Patrick of Tennessee and Ottawa Dawkins of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; son, Larry Dale Reed; two sisters and two brothers. Rev. Brandon Wright of First Baptist Church will officiate at the graveside service on Saturday, March 18 at Gunter Cemetery.
