  Collinsviile, Texas - Sherry Kathleen Pelley Brummett was born April 13, 1947 near Kirkland, Texas in Cottle County to John Edd and Lucy Angeline Jones Pelley. She passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2017. Sherry graduated from Gunter High school in 1965. After graduation, she worked as an accounting clerk for Texas Instruments for 33 years, retiring in 1998. In 2000, she returned to work as an office manager for Lake Kiowa POA, where she retired in 2014. Sherry loved spending time with her family and friends. She and husband Mike Rickwa enjoyed many outdoor activities includeing trail rides, sports, and taking care of their horses, dogs and garden. She especially liked watching her grandkids play ball. Sherry is survived by her husband; daughter, Angie and her husband Joe Bullard; son Joe Rickwa and his wife Liz; daughter Sunny and her husband Chris Etgen; brothers, Pat Pelley and his wife Kathie; Larry, Mike and Tim Pelley; sisters, Norma Pelley; Dorothy and her husband Curt Reed; Molly Pelley and Maureen Bates. She had six grandkids she loved dearly: Lindsay Bullard, Lucas, Emily and Ivan Rickwa; and Crystalline and Justus Etgen. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim and Kerry Pelley; and sister, Lou Pelley. Pallbearers were Joe Bullard, Joe Rickwa, Lee Hayes, Leon Stewart, Louie Raines, Allen Beaver, and Allen Knabe. The funeral service was held at Scoggins Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the Gunter Cemetery.
