Tuesday, July 3, 1934 pg.2 Mrs. Mollie George Dies After Operation Mrs. Mollie George, 39, died Monday morning at 4:20 at a local hospital following a recent operation for appendicitis. Mrs. George was born on May 29, 1895 in Fannin county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Linton. She was married in December 1913 at Greenville to W.J. George. Mrs. George is survived by 3 brothers, Eugene Linton and T.D. Linton, both of Detroit, Texas; Ewing Linton of Weinest, Texas; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ollie Chaffin of Winters, Texas; and Mrs. Ola Jobe of Paris, Texas; one son, J.H. George and one daughter, Lorene George. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Gordonville church and interment was in the Gordonville Cemetery. The Denison Press Tuesday, July 3, 1934 pg.1 GEORGE FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Gordonville church for Mrs. Mollie George who died early Monday morning at a local hospital following an operation. Rev. L.R. Lamb, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Gordonville Cemetery with Short-Murray funeral directors in charge. Pallbearers were George Linton, Ewing Linton, Thomas Linton, Connally George, Hubert Pressley, and Charles Spoon.
