Gainesville - Graveside services for Joy Laverne Garrison, 87, were held Monday afternoon, May 24, 2010 at Gordonville Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Services were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Joy passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Renaissance in Gainesville. She was born November 7, 1922 in Lexington, Oklahoma, daughter of John and Carrie Rollins Peltier. She married William Harvey Garrison on July 17, 1944 in Purcell, Oklahoma. She w as a homemaker. Survivors include 3 sons, Harvey Garrison; Gary Lynn Garrison and Monty Ray Garrison, all of Gordonville; 2 daughters, Joy Ann Woodhull of Southlake and Vicki Elaine Truelove of Keller; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
