Friday, July 20, 1956 pg. 4 Funeral services were held Friday July 13 at 3:00 p.m. for Thomas Franklin Winchester, 79, with Paul Gipson officiating and burial at Gordonville. Funderburk Funeral Home was in charge. Winchester died in the Madonna hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Baxter, Tennessee, August 19, 1876. He was married to Catherine Myers before coming to Denison. He had lived 8 years at his home at 618 East Acheson street and was a retired farmer. Survivors include 4 sons, Thomas Winchester, Ft. Worth; Anthony Winchester, Gordonville; N.L. Winchester, Caraway Winchester, O.A. Winchester, all of Denison; 2 daughters, Mrs. Joe Fullenchek, Sherman; and Mrs. Ellsworth Charleston, Birkhead, England. Funeral services were held in the Gordonville Church of Christ and burial was in Allison [sic]. Pallbearers were Canall Lee Collier, Sam Collier, Ray Elmore, Romey Morrison, Charles Armstrong, and James Armstrong.
