  Tom Bean - Graveside services for Linda Lea Welch, 65, of Tom Bean were held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Gordonville Cemetery, officiated by Gene Deckerd. She passed away February 19, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Linda was born May 18, 1952 to Jessie and Dovie Jobe Stuckey in Gainesville, Texas. She married James Terry Welch on September 20, 1969 in Sherman, Texas. She worked for Pettit's grocery store in Whitewright. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Linda loved spending time reading, watching the hummingbirds and cardinals; and she loved to cook and care for her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 48 years; son, J.J. Welch of Tom Bean; son, Cord and wife, Kim, Welch of Midland; grandchildren, Mindy, Stacey, Kelly, Mia, Jessie, Logan, Lance and Billy; great-grandchildren, Cara, Alark and Weston; cousin, Elmer Stuckey who was more like a brother to her than a cousin and her best friend for 45 years; Leah Penny Steele; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the Jobe family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Kathryn Stucky.
