- Funeral for Ben Terrell Stratton, 55, of Omaha, Neb. who died Nov. 9,
1991 in Omaha, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Johnson-Moore
Pottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
The Rev. Hugh Davis will officiate. Military graveside
rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 231. Stratton was born June 30, 1936, in Denison, son of Ray and Marguerite Terrell Stratton. He was a 1953 graduate of Denison High School and was a dispatcher for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years. Stratton was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church, the George R. Reeves Masonic Lodge 396 A.F., and A.M., Elks Lodge 238 and the American Legion Post 231. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Kelly Sakai of Louisville, Colo., Loris Stratton of Pottsboro; brother Robert of Pottsboro; and two sisters, Elizabeth Finke and Jane Clayton, both of Pottsboro. Pallbearers will be Clyde Short, Lee Roy Broyles, Ray Smith, Larry Terrell, Ralph Terrell, Jr., and Carl Miller.
