Drue Stalcup
13 September 1844 - 30 December 1892
w/o J.W. Stalcup

After the death of her mother in 1869, Drusilla, being the oldest daughter, at the age of 25 took care of the family in the role of a mother.  When the family broke up with most of them being married and having homes of their own, Drusilla made her home with her younger sister Mary Jane, who had married Herman Thoma in 1878 at Pottsboro, Grayson County, Texas.  Later in life Drusilla wed Mr. John Stalcup, a good, respectable man in his community, who gave her a home in her latter years.  At her request, Drucilla was buried at the foot of her father's grave in "old Pioneer Reeves Cemetery".
