  Katy Elizabeth Roy 23 April 1874 - 22 November 1947 Newton Jasper Roy 22 April 1867 - 17 October 1958 The Denison Press Friday, October 24, 1958 DEATHS N.J. "Jap" Roy, 91, resident of Pottsboro for 50 years, died at his family home Friday, October 17, at 11:45 a.m. after seven years of illness. He was a farmer and operator of the Texas Nursery. Funeral services were held at Johnson-Moore chapel Saturday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. Charles Andrews, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in Georgetown Cemetery. Mr. Roy was born in Missouri April 22, 1867. He was educated in Missouri and Arkansas and was married in Harrison, Ark., to Elizabeth Elmore. She died in 1947. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Willow Springs. Survivors are four sons : Walter Roy and Ed Roy of Maricopa, Ark., and L.H. Roy and Sam Roy of Pottsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Reeves, Pottsboro; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
