The Denison Press Saturday, July 11, 1936 pg. 1 FORMER DENISON MAN, BRYAN McLAUGHLIN, DIES IN CHICAGO Bryan McLaughlin, 39, former Denison man, died in that city Thursday night following an illness that has lasted for eleven years. The body will arrive in this city some time Sunday. Interment will be at Georgetown cemetery with Short-Murray directing. Rev. E.F. Williams will officiate and services will be from the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Nix Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Mr. McLaughlin was born in Denison in September 1896, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. J.W. McLaughlin. He was a railway switchman while in this city, working for the Katy. In 1918 he enlisted in the Army. After receiving his discharge he returned to the Katy and was located here from 1919 to 1921. Later he went to Muskogee and then to Chicago in 1922 when he was employed with the C.M., St. Paul railway until his health failed in 1925. He entered the veterans' hospital there. Surviving are his parents, who reside at Longview; and a brother, Carl, of Tulsa. Three sisters survive, Mrs. Myrtle Pool, Pottsboro; Mrs. Minnie Gilloud, Pottsboro; and Mrs. B.C. Pinson, Longview.
