  Elizabeth Jones 1864 - 1901 G.H. Jones 1856 - 1949 George H. Jones, 92, Dies in Abilene, Rites in Denison George H. Jones, 82, resident of Abilene for the past 11 years, died at 12:25 a.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E.W. Miller, 1302 Hickory St. Mr. Jones was born November 15, 1856 in Green County, Arkansas. He moved to Denison, Texas in April 1865, where he lived until he came to Abilene 11 years ago to live with his daughters, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. J.I.. Ammons. He was married on February 8, 1881 to Miss Elizabeth Stroud. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to the 2 daughters in Abilene, survivors are 4 sons, H.E. and Leonard Jones of Denison; W.H. of Lost Angeles; and L.F. of Pottsboro; and another daughter, Mrs. J.W. Bacon of Colbert, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildrne and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The body was taken to Denison Sunday afternoon by a Laughter-North Funeral coach. Funeral serivces will be held there at 10 a.m. Monday.
