Williams 1814 - 1891 The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, November 11, 1883 pg.4 TRIBUTE OF LOVE Died - At Pottsboro Sunday evening, November 4th, Ethel, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hulett, a sweet winsome little girl, the household pet, and most deeply do we sympathize with the bereaved parents, that death has so ruthlessly torn from their fond embrace the darling child. But we can only point them to the Savior and His precious promises, for He assures us that we will again meet our loved ones, where all partings are o'er. Again, the Death Angel has entered our home - - - Another darling is gone. Yes, Ethel, the pet of the household, is gone, Leaving our hearts sad and lone. We think that the angels have born her away - - - Having guided her over the stream. Tho' her tiny barque was tossed to and fro, Heaven's beacon light for her gleamed. We know that she suffers no more over there, The host of redeemed ones her spirit has joined' Is now basking in Heaven's own rays. We weep - - - yet rejoice, for we know we shall meet Our lambs in the bright upper fold. For Jesus has died that we might live again - - - 'Tis the same sweet story of old. 'Tis His will; we know that he does all things well/ We'll meekly pass under the rod; Our souls reunited will be over there, In our home in the City of God. - - - A friend. Eliza G.
