Timothy Harp
1966 - 2015

Timothy Odell Harp, age 48, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 20, 2015 at WNJ Regional Medical Center in Sherman. Mr. Harp was born October 14, 1966 in Houston, Texas, the son of Jimmy and Betty Joyce (Bearden) Harp.
He attended school in Pottsboro where he graduated in 1985. He worked as an electrician for many years, working the last five at Simpson Electric. Timothy married the love of his life, Tammy Carettini in November of 1986 in Denison.
Mr. Harp loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He fished competitively in bass tournaments on Lake Texoma and was no stranger to winning. He was a positive role model for countless children as he coached little league girls softball in Denison for 10 years.
Mr. Harp has a very special love and connection for his grandson Kaiden. They are the best of friends and cherished every moment spent together, especially on the little league baseball field. Timothy was a special man who touched countless lives here on earth, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Harp is survived by his loving family, wife of 28 years, Tammy Harp; two daughters, Brittiany Harp, and Harley Webb and husband, Alex; two grandchildren, Kaiden Harp and Tru Carettini; father and step-mother, Jimmy and Molly Harp; two sisters, Tammy Roy and husband, Doyle and Taralynn Jones; mother-in-law, Darlene Carettini; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his Papa and Meme, James Odell and JoAnna.


On Saturday, October 5, 2019 the Lord called Jimmy Harp, 71, of Pottsboro to his Heavenly home.
Mr. Harp entered this world on June 12, 1948 in Russellville, Alabama, son of James Odell and JoAnna Riner Harp.  He married Molly Lou Cropp; the two were united in marriage for over 30 years and shared 3 children, Timothy, Tammi, and Taralynn.  Jimmy loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He fished competitively in bass tournaments.  He was a member of the American Varmint Association and Texoma Bass Club.  He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.  Jimmy was owner/operator of a successful business in construction, Jim Harp Drywall.  Jimmy had many other hobbies as well.  Among them were watching old westerns, riding in a golf cart and causing mischief with Jesse Cropp, and playing cards and drinking beer.  But he truly enjoyed making memories with his family.
His memory will be cherished by his family: daughter, Tammi and Doyle Roy of Pottsboro, Texas; daughter, Taralynn Jones of Pottsboro, Texas; daughter-in-law, Tammy Harp of Pottsboro, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle and Chase Curry of Pottsboro, Texas; Brittany Harp of Denison, Texas; Doyle and Nikki Roy, Jr. of Pottsboro, Texas; Harley and Alex Webb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sierra and Jarrett Bozeman of Frisco, Texas; and John Jones of Frisco, Texas.
His love will always be cherished by his great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Tru Harp, Dax and Sam Curry, Lilly and MaKenna Roy, Rhyser Webb; and close friend, Robert Cogburn.
He was reunited in Heaven with his only son, Timothy Harp; beloved parents; biological father, William D. Beard; and the mother of his children, Betty Joyce.
Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, October 9, 2019 at Georgetown Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Hancock officiating. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
