  The Herald Democrat November 29-30, 2012 Denison - Stella Darlene Grooms, 64, of Denison died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, 121 W. Pelton St. in Sherman, with Pastor Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Pallbearers will be Larry Little, Gordon Smith, Landon Thomas, Stacy Swindle Jr., Carl Wilson, and Lee Thomas. She was born Dec. 13, 1947 in Casagrand, Arizona to Guy B. and Mary Gernice Gault Payne. She married Raymond Lee Grooms on Dec. 2, 1985 in Durant, Okla. Mrs. Grooms was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sherman. She is survived by her spouse, Raymond Grooms of Denison; sons, Kenny LaFavor, Adam Rogers and wife Janet; daughters, Tanya and husband Gordon Smith, Jennifer and husband Stacy Swindle; brothers, Richard Payne and Jodie Payne; sister, Patty Owen; grandchildren, Taylor christine Holcombe, Heather Don LaFavor, Stacy Swindle, Jr., Landon Lee Thomas, Shiala LeeAnn Thomas, Breenan Lyn Thomas, Timothy Jay Swindle, Angel Leonardo Sanchez, Sherlene Ali Sanchez, Joshua Lee Rogers, Monica Renea Shomo, Jerid Ray Shomo and Justin Allen Shomo.
