Clountz, M., Pottsboro, R.F.D. No. 2, Farming. Established 1902. Located in Grayson County 1877. Born in Greene County, Ohio, on March 25, 1845. Married to Miss Nancy Hoover on February 22, 1872. Wife born on July 9, 1852 in Pendleton County, West Virginia. Six children: 3 boys, Walter T., Theophilus L., and Henry V; and 3 girls, Sarah A. Evaline and Mariah. Locust Precinct.
Mrs.
Nancy Clontz, 71, died at her home near Pottsboro at 8:30 this morning.
She was an old resident in the neighborhood, coming to Grayson
County in 1877. Six children survive her, all of whom were with her at the time of her death. The children are : Mrs. Anna Moran of Muskogee; W.C. Clontz, T.L. Clontz, Mrs. Addie Moon, Mrs. Maria Moser and H.C. Clontz, all of whom live near Pottsboro. She is survived also by thirty-five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Born in Mingo county, Virginia, she came to Grayson county in the seventies, where she had been a resident ever since. Deceased was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and services will be conducted by that organization. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be Oak Grove Cemetery, George Shields, funeral director, in charge.
