Archie R. Conner 1844 - 1921 Lou Conner 1848 - 1904 w/o Archie R. Conner Denison Daily Herald Tuesday, September 20, 1904 Pottsboro, Tex. - Mrs. Louisa Conner, wife of A.R. Conner, a prominent farmer five miles northwest of Pottsboro, died Friday night of congestion of the brain, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Conner was a deaf mute, as is her surviving husband. She was born in Clay County in 1848 and married A.R. Conner in January 1866 at New Boston, Bowie County. Mrs. Conner and her husband were among the first pupils admitted to the State deaf and dumb asylum at Austin and it was there they met, fell in love and commenced the courtship that resulted in their marriage. Deceased leaves a husband and three children, two boys and a girl, the oldest boy being married. Mrs. Conner was a member of the Baptist Church for 25 years and was a consistent Christian woman much loved and esteemed by all who knew her. The interment was Saturday afternoon in Georgetown cemetery. The Denison Herald Thursday, October 13, 1921 pg. 7 DEATH ROLL A.T. Connor, Pottsboro, Pioneer, Died Tuesday The Herald is in receipt of a communication from Pottsboro relative to the death of the late A.R. Connor, who died Tuesday at his home at Willow Springs. It states that Mr. Connor was born in Jackson county, Missouri, January 4, 1844. He came to Texas with his parents in 1854 and in1876 he and Miss Louisa White were married. He is survived by 3 children: one daughter, Mrs. Effa Hause, wife of the county treasurer; 2 sons, W.T. and Archibald of Willow Springs; one brother, C.R. Connor; and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Lee, both of Archer county. Mr. Connor was one of the oldest citizens who settled in that community as a pioneer. Many neighbors, friends and relatives attended the ceremonies over which Rev. Mr. Wall officiated.
