James Cameron officiating and the Rev. Frank Rowe assisting. Burial was in George Town Cemetery near Pottsboro. Mrs. Caffey died at 11:25 p.m. Saturday at the home. Born in Copia County, Miss., May 5, 1900, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Monroe, she was a member of Boyd Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, William Hooper Caffey of the home, and four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Ogle of Denison, Mrs. Luvern Hatcher of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Mrs. Dee Stewart of Lincoln, Ark., and Mrs. Hazel Caffey of Lamasco. Pallbearers were Jack McFalin, Glen Hamby, J.D. McVay, J.C. Parker, Hubert Coorod, and R.E. Ward. Honorary pallbearers were W.L. Birdwell, Arvin Nelson, Howard Blount, Olen Birdwell and C.W. Johnston. Bonham Daily Favorite Thursday, April 5, 1990 pg. 2 William Caffey Graveside services for William Hooper Caffey, 92, of Telephone who died Wednesday, April 4, 1990, at Seven Oaks Care Center, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Georgetown Cemetery near Pottsboro under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Mr. Caffey was born in Brownsville on Oct. 6, 1897, the son of John WIlliam Caffey and Mary Elizabeth Godby Caffey. He married Jessie L. Monroe [sic} on Dec. 27, 1921, and she preceded him in death on April 10, 1976. He was a farmer and a dancer. He was a member of the Boyd Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Edna Geaslin of Devine and Fannin [sic] Pichot of San Antonio. He was a brother-in-law to Hazel Caffey of Telephon. The family will be at Wise Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Thursday.

Caffey, 60, who died Monday September 19, 1966, at his home in the Lamasco community, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Wise Funeral Home with the Rev. Morris Robbins, pastor of the Boyd Baptist church officiating. Interment was in the Georgetown cemetery. Survivors are his widow, a son, a brother and six sisters. Active pallbearers are Arvil Melson [sic Arvin Nelson], Hubert Coonrod, Bill Cobern, Howard Blount, Olen Birdwell and Jim Owen. Serving as honorary pallbearers were J.C. Parker, Thomas Aaron, W.L.
