  Betty C. Burks 23 February 1935 - 22 August 2012 Johnnie L. Burks 23 June 1933 -  The Herald Democrat August 23, 2012 Pottsboro - Services for Betty McBee Burks of Pottsboro, 77-year-old homemaker and mother, were held Friday, August 24 at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with David Eenigenburg officiating. Mrs. Burks passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Seven Oaks Nursing Home. Burial followed in Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney Malone, Jerry Perkins, John McBee, Thomas McBee, Matt McBee, and Daniel McBee. Mrs. Burks was born February 23, 1935 in Dallas, daughter of John Oliver and Edna Marie Talley McBee. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. On January 4, 1957 she married Johnnie Lee Burks in Dallas. She was a member of Community Bible Church of Van Alstyne. Mrs. Burks is survived by her husband, Johnnie Burks of Bonham; son, Philip Burks of Bonham; daughters, Scherri Perkins and husband, Jerry, of Pottsboro; and Carolyn Malone and husband, Rodney, of Bonham; brother, John G.
