The Denison Press Friday, October 7, 1949 pg. 4 John Edward Brison [sic], 79, retired farmer of Pottsboro, who had lived all his life in that area, was buried in the Georgetown cemetery Tuesday of last week, following his death on Monday. He had been ill for 3 years. Funeral services were conducted at the Georgetown cemetery by Rev. R.L. Gardenhire. Bratcher-Moore, funeral directors, were in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brison was born in Grayson county on September 17, 1870 and was married in 1920 to Miss Bendie Williams. Mrs. Brison survives him. He is survived also by a daughter, Mrs. Emil Christmas of Pottsboro. The Denison Press Friday, April 27, 1951 pg. 4 Funeral services for Mrs. John Bryson, 72, RFD Sherman, were held at the Georgetown cemetery Tuesday, April 24 with Rev. Ray Short officiating, and interment in Georgetown cemetery. Bratcher-Moore funeral directors were in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bryson was born in Grayson county November 8, 1878 and was educated in Grayson county schools. She was married in Pottsboro in 1920 to John E. Bryson who died in 1949. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emil Christman, Pottsboro.
