Robert Jay Farmer
1 March 1988 - 22 February 2007

Robert Jay Farmer will be remembered for his sensitive, sentimental heart, kind soul, lovable nature and dimpled smile that could light up a room. He was a loyal and devoted friend.
He attended school in Arlington until junior high when he moved to Pottsboro. During his years in Arlington, he excelled in sports and played quarterback for his team where he developed lifelong friends. His love of music was also born about this time. In recent years his guitar and music became his passion. His creative style and individuality were reflected in everything he did. He was knowledgeable and strong in his faith and this was an important part of his life.
After graduating from Pottsboro High School in 2006, he attended Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and the SFA Water Ski team. This was a special time for him.
Pottsboro summers were spent at the family lakehouse on Lake Texoma, enjoying watersports, the cliffs, large family gatherings and the country life.
His friends remember him in many ways, with one fact that is common among them, "Jay was the life of our circle of friends. He was funny and a natural comedian. That is why he was our class favorite for 2006."
Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert J. and Sue Farmer, Bob Swerdlow; and his uncle, Mark Wyskup.
Survivors: His loving and proud parents, Bill Farmer and Gail Farmer; sister and best friend, Jenna Farmer of Austin; grandparents, Carol Swerdlow of Lake Worth, Fla., retired Lt. Col. Raymond J. and Dorothy Wyskup of Denison; aunts; uncles; cousins; a host of friends; and godparents, Maurice and Kathy Coulter.
