The Denison Press Friday, March 23, 1956 pg. 3 Funeral Services were held at Funderburk chapel Friday, March 16, at 2 for Lloyd J. Harrison, 59, farmer of Pottsboro, who died at the Community Hospital in Sherman Wednesday, March 14, after one day's illness. Rev. H.C. Davis officiated at the service and interment was in Georgetown Cemetery with Funderburk in charge. Mr. Harrison was born in Grayson County September 26, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfonso Harrison. He was married in Durant July 25, 1938 to Gladys Saunders. He was a farmer, a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church and a trustee of the Georgetown School Board, He was a World War I veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors are his wife; his parents, C.A. Harrison of Sherman and Mrs. Jennie Harrison of Hollis, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. E.C. Hardenburg of Pottsboro; Mrs. T.O. Brewton of Plano; and Mrs. Jeff Lewis of Dallas; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Jean Estelle Patterson of Dallas; three brothers, Jim Harrison of Gould, Oklahoma; John Harrison of Lubbock; and Lon of Morton, Texas; and 10 grandchildren. Harrison, 89, who died in Hollis, Oklahoma, February 16, were held at the Georgetown Baptist Church Sunday afternoon with burial in Georgetown Cemetery. Bratcher Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Harrison had been in Hollis only a month. His home was in Sherman. He was born in Tennessee, October 26, 1867. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Harrison, Hollis, Oklahoma; 3 sons, J.A. Harrison, Gould, Oklahoma; J.W. Harrison, Lubbock; and Lon Harrison, Morton, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Maud Hawn, Sherman; and 4 grandchildren.
