 The Denison Press Friday, January 2, 1959 pg. 4 Funeral services were held at the Pottsboro Baptist Church for James W. Hughes, 35, of Fort Worth. The Rev. Carroll Shaw officiated and interment was at Georgetown Cemetery. Hughes died in Ft. Worth December 16 after a week of illness. He was born in Van Alstyne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy R. Hughes, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. James W. Hughes, Fort Worth; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy R. Hughes, Sr. of Pottsboro; two sons, Jimmie Hughes and Rickie Hughes, Ft. Worth; two daughters, Barbara and Beverly Ann Hughes, Ft. Worth; three brothers, Sgt. Roy R. Hughes, Jr., and Frank Hughes of Pottsboro and Ralph Hughes of Sherman; seven sisters, Mrs. Vivian Renaud, Ft. Worth; Mrs. Eva Turner, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Edna Clement and Mrs. Betty Coleburn, Sherman; Mrs. Jo Ann Moore, Miss Ruth Hughes and Miss Judy Faye Hughes of Pottsboro.
