The Denison Press Thursday, December 15, 1938 FORMER LOCAL MAN DIES WEDNESDAY Injuries received in an automobile accident near Waco about 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon proved fatal to Marvin Griffith, 34, a former Denisonian and farmer living at Valley Mills, Texas. He died at a Waco hospital Wednesday night at 10 o'clock. Short-Murray, funeral directors, will return the remain overland to Denison today. Funeral services will be held at the home of his parents in the Cotton Mill community Friday at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Georgetown. Griffith was born October 2, 1900, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Griffith in Coryell county, Texas. He married Miss Mattie Sandoff at that point, later moving to Denison. Surviving are his wife; parents; 2 sons, Wayne and Travis, both of Coryell county; 2 brothers, Luther and Gerald Griffith of Denison.
