A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Coffey-Murray Funeral Chapel for Hugh D. Ross, 73, Durant, who died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Hugo. Rev. Dan McLemore will officiate. The son of Jim Henry Ross and Ludie D. Perkins Ross, he was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Corinth, Miss. He was a civil service worker and a firefighter at Perrin A.F.D. He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by son Terry Ross and wife Jung, Anniston, Ala.; daughter Roxanne Konrad and husband Kristian, Shreveport, La.; brothers Roy Ross, Herman Ross, Larry Ross and wife Sherry and Patrick Ross and wife Sharon, all of Corinth; sisters Mary Ellen Simmons, Corinth; Billie Omstaed and husband Floyd, Venture, Calif.; Dottie LaBas and husband Al, Cameron Park, Calif.; Faye Franks, Jackson, Tenn.; and Geraldine Butler and husband Charlie, Jackson; grandsons Cody Carrol, Houston, Texas, and Kirk Carrol and wife Denisa, Bloomburg, Texas; granddaughters Stormy Carnley and husband Harvest, Atlanta, Texas, and Teresa Ross, Anniston; great-grandsons Christian Gooden, Anniston, and Taylor Carrol, Bloomburg; and great-granddaughter Kylie McPherson, Atlanta. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, Pottsboro, Texas. Donations may be sent to Shady Grove Church, in care of Larry Ross, 56 Cr. 417 Corinth, Miss., 78834. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
