Turner, 77, of Denison will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Raymond England and James Keaton will officiate. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, and arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. He died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Turner was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Monroe and Eloise Short Turner. He went to school in Forney. He married Robbye Hill on June 10, 1950, in Texarkana, Ark. Mr. Turner worked for Brown & Root Construction Company for a number of years and then retired from Bay City Independent School District in Bay City, and relocated to North Texas to spend his retirement fishing. He was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Assembly of God in Denison. Surviving are his sons, Randy Turner of Lake Jackson, David Turner and fiancee Cindy Ede of Denison, Jeff Turner and wife Courtney of Pottsboro and Aaron Turner and wife Michelle of Austin, formerly of Denison; daughters, Dorinda Bradford of Pottsboro, Michelle Brodsgaard of El Campo and Arnelda Turner of Colbert, Okla.; brothers, Jimmy Dale and wife Alice Turner of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Clifford Martin of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Patsy Turner of Tulsa, Okla., Sharron McCroy and husband James of Pottsboro, Janis Blankenship and husband Paul of Pauls Valley, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, extended church family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers, Elvin and Melvin Turner. Pallbearers will be Randy Turner, David Turner, Jeff Turner, Aaron Turner, Bo Turner and Seth Hearn.
