  Howard Dewey Phillips 6 April 1929 - 8 December 2010 Sara Jean Phillips 5 July 1931 - 13 February 2006  Herald Democrat December 9, 2010 DENISON - Howard Phillips, 81-year-old Denison resident, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Phillips was cremated and his graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at Georgetown Cemetery. He was born on April 6, 1929 in Denison, son of George Dewey and Ollie Phillips. He married Sara Lindsey who preceded him in death. Mr. Phillips was an employee of Driggs Store for many years before he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Denison and the American Legion Post 62. Surviving are his daughters, Serena Hempkins and Amanda Phillips, both of Denison, and Dewena Cates of Yakima, Washington; sister, Nelda Perdue of Denison; grandchildren, Cody Hempkins, Kevin Cunningham and Cris Cunningham; and great-granddaughter, Drheaven Sandstrom.
