The Denison Press Thursday, December 31, 1959 EARL BAKER Funeral services for Earl Baker, 65, who died at Reno, Nev., Dec. 22 and whose home was Sparks, Nev., were held Dec. 30 at the Pottsboro Baptist church with Rev. C.J. Beck of Georgetown officiating. Bratcher funeral home was in charge of the services which were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. Baker had made his home at Sparks, Nev, for the past four years. Born in Denison, as the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Baker, June 1904 he was married at Gainesville to Miss Mary Brogden. He was a member of the Baptist Church and followed the trade of a carpenter. He is survived by his widow and two sons, Raymond of El Paso and Elden of Burbank, Calif. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs Odelle Thiebar, Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Maryville Wilson, Richland, Wash., and Mrs. Lena Griffith, Denton, Tex. Also surving are one brother and two sisters, G. Pat Baker, Denison and Mrs. C.J. Jacobs, Pottsoboro and Mrs. Pearl Brogden, Fort Worth. The body was removed to the home of the sister, Mrs. Jacobs, pending time for burial services.
